Moxifloxacin registered in Republic of Belarus
New medicinal product Moxifloxacin, solution for infusion 400 mg / 250 ml has been registered in the Republic of Belarus.
Registration certificate No. 11/06/1902, FSP RB 1595-11 30.06.2011 - 30.06.2016.
Moxifloxacin is indicated for treatment following bacterial infections caused by the strains sensitive to the medicine:
- community-acquired pneumonia, including caused by multi-drug resistant strains*;
- complicated skin and soft tissue infections, including infected “diabetic foot";
- compicated intra-abdominal infections, including polymicrobial infections, such as apostasis.
* Multi-drug resistant Streptococcuspneumoniae(MDRSP) includes isolates knows as PRSP (penicillin-resistance S. Pneumoniae) and strains resistant to the following two or more antibiotics: penicillin (MIC = 2 µg /ml), second generation of cephalosporin (for example, cefuroxime), microlides, tetracyclines and trimethoprim / sulfamethoxazole.
